Shock headline at LGF: Pentagon OKs $6B in Arms Sales to Saudi Arabia
Then this from Republic in the comments section:
Would it be better if the Saudi's bought military equipment from say, China, N Korea, or Russia?
Chavez has been buying arms, jets, other military equipment from Russia, N Korea, etc, for a while now.
I would be seriously concerned if Saudi were buying military equipment from anyone other than the USA.
So, is it not better for the Saudi's to buy the military equipment from America, than other countries such as China, N Korea or Russia.
I understand that there may be an element of danger in selling military equipment to the Saudi's, but wouldn't there be a tenfold danger in China, N Korea, or Russia selling them equipment.
Just my thought.
I think Mr. Republic is about right although who's to say the Saudis are NOT buying stuff from China, N Korea, Russia. Just my thought.

WASHINGTON, July 20 (UPI) -- Foreign fighters and insurgents are moving into Baghdad "for an all-out assault" on the city, a top U.S. general warned Thursday. This development would not surprise me. Messrs. Assad, Ahmedinijad, & Nassarallah (et. al.) appear to have a wider battle plan. Hope the DOD does too. [interesting what you find in the comments section of the master bloggers - ed.]
