"Fouad Ajami described the function of Lebanon -- at least from Hassan Nasrallah's point of view -- as an arena in which to act out the geopolitical and religious rivalries of the region. Nasrallah had a choice between being Lebanese and being an agent of Iran. He chose to be an agent of Iran. And in order to prosper as an agent of Iran, he needed a country in chaos ".
-Wretchard I hesitate to overanalyze this shit but Wretchard has no such retisence. To those who spend their short lives attempting to attach rationality or intelligence to this tragic-comical geopolitical 'situation', current events are a watershed. To me, it's just a deadly farce. Face it. The radicalized 'religion' of Islam needs wholesale reformation. Without it, no amount of political analysis or dialogue will change the status quo. Without the reformation of Islam, I'll go to my grave with this ridiculous mouse-frog battle raging in the background. Tragic, unessesary, foolish, wastefull, ignorant and unending [dang, sounds alot like Liberalism to me -ed.].
