I had known for some time this was coming to Kansas City, I just had no idea how massive and, well, radical the concept is.
"Quietly but systematically, the Bush Administration is advancing the plan to build a huge NAFTA Super Highway, four football-fields-wide, through the heart of the U.S. along Interstate 35, from the Mexican border at Laredo, Tex., to the Canadian border north of Duluth, Minn."
Wow. No wonder the Administration has been dodging the "immigration" thing. He's turning the Mexican Border into a "speedbump" and I'm beginning to get it. Interesting that this massive project has been "hidden in plain view" for such a long time but such is the state of MSM. You have to stop and think for a minute how brilliant this idea really is.
NOTE TO TOM: [er, no Tom, sorry to leave you with that impression; I really do think this is an amazing project and unlike alot of conservatives, I'm not at all concerned about the immigration problem - it's not their fault the Goverment has left the door wide open and put out the welcome mat. I mean, I'd do the same thing were I in their position. More importantly we currently have a 4.6% unemployment rate (?!) and high fuel prices; without "undocumented workers" we'd have an exhorbitant inflation problem. Oh, and I was an undocumented worker once, so I kind of empathize.]
