Update Thursday AM: We haven't had a snow like this in many years, probably 8-10 inches. OK, out of the pajamas and into the boots and gloves - there's a snow shovel around here someplace and it has my name on it.
Took me two hours to traverse 80 city blocks this evening; a journey that, under less inclement conditions, would normally require about 25 minutes of drive time. By the grace of the Ghost of Christmas Past, I became trapped in gridlock in front of a well-placed liquor store. Provisions in hand, I struggled back to the heavily fortified Max Cave [mush! mush!] and donned my gay apparel pajamas.
