I actually started this blog because one of my biggest pet peeves is the so called American "free market" healthcare system. Early on, I had intended to concentrate much of my effort on this niche but was led astray by events. In any case, I fail to see how anyone might contend (with a straight face) the US system of Medicine operates in a free market, capitalistic environment. Curiously though, it's not really a Government Healthcare system either. TM Lutas of Chicago Boyz is also perplexed and asks: "so what is it?."
