Thomas Kohl reads the EU Constitution:"For one, it doesn't even look like a constitution - it makes me wonder why they chose to name it so. There are such faux 'rights' enumerated in the document such as the right for a free employment information services, meaning the state is obliged to help you find a job. Such things are the defining traits of the new Europe. Every time I see a new right that the state reserved for me, every time they do that makes me wonder how many other rights I may lose down the road [emphasis mine].
To paraphrase Tom Waits, the large print giveth and that which is not specifically addressed under the articles of "freedom"; line 3, paragraph 4 of the preamble to the constitution taketh away.
